Mental Health Month
01 Oct 2018 to 31 Oct 2018

MHA co-ordinates Mental Health Month in NSW, providing information and resources to the community during October every year to promote good mental health and wellbeing. Keep an eye on our Mental Health Month webpage for the Mental Health Month Starter Kit coming out in May for information on how you can get involved including free resources, small grants and the Mental Health Matters Awards.

Mental Health Week aims to activate, educate and engage the community about mental health through a week of interactive events across the state including an official launch, community festivals, art exhibitions, music, theatre and seminars.

From its beginnings in 1985, the week has grown to encompass hundreds of events and a multitude of individuals, community groups and service providers throughout the state.

Much of the effort of running Mental Health Week comes from dedicated volunteers committed  to promoting mental wellbeing, furthering knowledge about mental health and eliminating the stigma surrounding mental illness.
