A woman’s pelvic floor muscles support her bladder, uterus (womb) and bowel (colon). The urethra (urine tube), the vagina, and the rectum (back passage) all pass through the pelvic floor muscles. Pelvic floor muscles help control your bladder and bowel. They may also help sexual function.

Sexual Health Infolink

The Sexual Health Infolink is a NSW Ministry of Health funded telephone and internet-based information and referral service. It has been operating since 1989 and is staffed by specialist sexual health nurses. 

Our aim is to promote the sexual health of the NSW community through providing accurate and timely information and referral options. 

STARTTS

STARTTS is a specialist, not-for-profit organisation that was established in 1988. It provides culturally relevant psychological treatment and support, and community interventions, to help people and communities heal the scars of torture and refugee trauma and rebuild their lives in Australia.

The Centre for Cultural Diversity in Ageing

The Centre for Cultural Diversity in Ageing is funded by the Department of Health and Aged Care under the Partners in Culturally Appropriate Care (PICAC) program and supported by Benetas.

The Centre provides expertise in culturally inclusive policy and practices for the aged services sector. We have over 20 years of experience in supporting aged care providers to address the needs of older people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.

Transcultural Mental Health Centre

The Transcultural Mental Health Centre (TMHC) is a state-wide service established in 1993.

We work with people from culturally and linguistically diverse communities, health professionals and partner organisations across NSW to support good mental health. Our services complement public Mental Health Services (hospital and community) and enhance pathways to care for culturally and linguistically diverse communities.

Translating and Interpreting Service TIS

The Translating and Interpreting Service (TIS National) is an interpreting service provided by the Department of Home Affairs for people who do not speak English and for agencies and businesses that need to communicate with their non-English speaking clients.
