Health Translations

Health Translations is a free online library of high-quality translated Australian health and wellbeing information. 

Aimed at Australian health practitioners and people who work with culturally and linguistically diverse communities, the site provides quick access to a wealth of reliable resources.

HealthStats NSW

HealthStats NSW is a ‘one-stop-shop’ public website bringing together data from many sources to produce statistical information about the health of the NSW population. Users can view and download data and select indicators to produce tailored reports that provide insights into a wide range of health determinants and outcomes, including:

  • the health status of the NSW population
  • health inequalities and the determinants of health
  • the major causes of disease and injury and current health challenges
  • trends in health and comparisons between age groups and geographic locations.

The data in HealthStats NSW cover a range of health risk factors, diseases, locations, and specific populations.

Healthy Male

Our aim is to make the information we provide available to everybody, regardless of gender, age, education, sexual orientation, religion or ethnicity. To do this, we collaborate with Australia’s leading researchers, specialists, clinicians and educators to develop information that fills the gaps in men’s health.

Healthy Male is supported by the Australian Government Department of Health.

The Heart Foundation has been the trusted peak body working to improve heart disease prevention, detection, and support for all Australians. 

Heart Research Australia

Our goal is to reduce the devastating impact heart disease has on families and the community. The focus is seed-funding for cardiac researchers to investigate new areas. The aim is to make their work competitive for grants from national bodies such as the National Health and Medical Research Council.

Hepatitis NSW

Inside Radiology

InsideOut

InsideOut is Australia’s national institute for research, translation and clinical excellence in eating disorders. With resources, rigour and perseverance we aim to transform the landscape for people with eating disorders in this country, and ultimately find a cure.

The Institute comprises a team of expert researchers, clinicians and public policy-makers committed to ensuring every person with an eating disorder has access to the best possible care.

Intellectual Disability Mental Health Connect

Intellectual Disability Mental Health Connect aims to help people with intellectual disability get the right services and support for their mental health. It has information for people with intellectual disability, their supporters, and professionals.

This website is aimed at people who live in NSW Australia. However, people who do not live in NSW may still be able to use the information.

Isolated Patients Travel and Accommodation Assistance Scheme (IPTAAS)

IPTAAS is the Isolated Patients Travel and Accommodation Assistance Scheme. This is a NSW Government scheme providing financial assistance towards travel and accommodation costs when a patient needs to travel long distances for treatment that is not available locally.

Jean Hailes for Women’s Health is a national not-for-profit organisation dedicated to improving women’s health across Australia through every life stage.

This website has been developed by Melbourne Sexual Health Centre to help people who have been diagnosed with Chlamydia, Gonorrhoea, Mycoplasma genitalium, Syphilis and Trichomonas to tell their sexual partners that they might also be at risk. It also provides local service information for:

  • ACT residents, this is supported by Canberra Sexual Health Centre. 
  • NSW health residents, this is supported by NSW STI Programs Unit. 
  • Qld residents, this is supported by Qld Department of Health Sexual Health website.

Lung Foundation

Lung Foundation Australia is the only charity and leading peak body of its kind in Australia that funds life-changing research and delivers support services that give hope to people living with lung disease or lung cancer.

Since 1990, we have been working to ensure lung health is a priority for all, from promoting lung health and early diagnosis, advocating for policy change and research investment, raising awareness about the symptoms and prevalence of lung disease and championing equitable access to treatment and care.
